Jashumati Devi Public Charitable Trust (Jashumati Foundation) was established on 25th March 2004 by a resolution passed by the members – N. Chandbapu Singh, N. Saratkumar Singh and Ksh Kumari Devi. The requisite certificate u/s 12AA of the IT Act was granted to the Trust on 16th July 2014 vide office Memo No. DC. 1485/12A/CIT/JRT/2014-15/3094-96 dated 16/07/2014. Also order u/s 80G(5)(vi) of the IT Act-1961 was also granted to the trust vide oc-696/80G/CIT/JRT/2014-15/3967-81 dated 08/09/2014.

Mission

Our main mission is to provide education and support the needy, widows, orphans, physically challenged and weaker sections – SC and ST, irrespective of race, religion and language so that they can alleviate their lives economically, socially, culturally and health wise.

To become a strong society economically, socially, culturally and health wise.

Aims & Objectives

To render services in the field of education to the poor specially the weaker sections of the society - Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and women, irrespective of race, religion and languages.
Advancement and propagation of education and learning including establishment, maintenance, consultancy and support of Schools, Industrial, Agricultural Technical Research and Training Institutions.
To run educational, vocational training income generating programmes and other social justice and development programmes for mass specially for SC, ST, OBC, minorities, women, aged and disables.
To give scholarships and prizes at schools, colleges, or at any other educational institutions to the deserving students.
To establish, maintain and grant aid to homes, orphanage or other establishments for relief and help to the neady, the poor and destitute people, orphans and widows.
To hold, arrange and organize seminars, conferences, competitions, research and study and other cultural activities, sports and games for charitable & social welfare purpose.
To provide medical aids financially and mentally to the needy and the poor.
To preserve and protect near extinct trees, plants, rare medical herbs and species.

Activities

Visit to Kaina Hills

The first activity of the Trust was taking a member of senior citizens of the locality to a pilgrimage site to Kaina hills, which is considered a very auspicious place in the History of Manipur. The tree which was used to make the Sri Govindajee Temple at Imphal Mandir was from this spot.

Monetary Help to the Poor in 2014

The trust has helped many a needy persons as and when the approach us or we find a suitable persons to help. For example, monetary help to very poor families off and or since 2014. One persons Tokyo’s coaching was sponsored for coaching class by the trust.

Sponsorships in 2017

4 persons which won the Kakching Run Lai Hanabo race at Kakching was sponsored for coming to Delhi to participate at the Airtel half Merathon Race in 2017, November. one of them won the 2nd Position in the 35plus category. 2 boys and 2 girls were sponsored . They were given accomadation at Tikendrjit Bhavan, Chanakyapuri and were taken for sightseeing of Delhi ftn the roe.

Lai Haraoba 2015 Prizes Sponsored

In the year 2015, the trust gave prizes to all the Race and Mashiawinners of the ibodu Khawnanja lai Haraobain Summer May of 2015.

Help 1600 NE passangers reached Home

The Trust also lent a helping Hand to all the NE brothers and sisters by helping the Manipur Bhavan to manage the serving of 1600 NE any passanger trying to reach home using shramic express.

Help Get Passes to Travel back to Manipur

The trust also helped to arrange who wants to travel back to home by to get requisite passes from the Delhi Government and Manipur government.

Donations to Quarantine Centers

The trust has given a donation of Rs 500/- each to 2 Quarantine centers to contribute to the arrangement of meal to the incoming students/meities in the Kakching District.

Donate in CM Care Fund

The trust has also handed over a check of Rs 10,000/- to the DC Kakching as a part of CM Care Fund.
